Leader in Me Program
Purpose
The Leader in Me® ("TLIM") is a whole-school 5-year transformational process developed in partnership with educators that empowers students with the leadership and life skills they need to thrive in the 21st century. It is based upon the premise that every child possesses unique strengths and has the ability to be a leader. Through a partnership with the Steeley Foundation, Hinton Area Foundation has funded the Leader in Me® process at Hinton Area Elementary under the leadership of HAE Principal Angela Gumm. Qualities and skills such as self- reliance, initiative, planning, setting and tracking goals, prioritization, emotional management, manners, art of persuasion, conflict resolution, valuing diversity, and balance are developed.
