Alger & Edna Abbey Scholarship Fund

Alger Abbey established the Alger & Edna Abbey Endowed Scholarship Fund, to provide financial assistance to a trade school, community college or university-bound student who previously attended the school district that serves the Lakeview community (currently Lakeview Community Schools) and has decided to continue his/her education to earn a certificate, license or degree in a vocational or industrial arts field of study. Mr. Abbey, after some experience, followed his heart and earned his living working in the construction business. He would like to support other young people to do the same.

Abby & Todd Molitor Memorial Scholarship Fund

Established by Milford (Mel) D. Molitor and family, the purpose is to provide financial assistance to a graduating college or university-bound student and/or a current resident of the Lakeview area interested in pursuing the mental health field.

Alfred & Leona Kranz Memorial Scholarship Fund

The purpose of the Alfred & Leona Kranz Memorial Scholarship Fund is to provide support for students from within the Lakeview area school system who are pursuing a degree at a college or university in the field of education.

Dr. Gary & Ellen Baker Memorial Scholarship Fund

The purpose of the Dr. Gary & Ellen Baker Memorial Scholarship Fund will be to provide financial support to a graduating senior from Lakeview High School who has plans to enter a health care field such as Dentistry, Dental Hygiene, Nursing, Medicine, or other medical related field.

Barbara & Larry Disher Memorial Fund

The purpose of the Barbara & Larry Disher Memorial Fund is to provide grants awarded as a part of the competitive grant process with the Lakeview Area Community Fund.

Bob & Mary Charnley Scholarship Fund

This scholarship fund was established by Robert (Bob) Charnley and family to provide financial assistance to a graduating college or university-bound student interested in pursuing a degree in education.

Corewell Health Lakeview Designated Fund

The Corewell Health Lakeview Designated Fund provides grant funding to support Corewell Health facilities in Lakeview, MI.

Darrell Proctor Memorial Scholarship Fund

The purpose of the Darrell Proctor Memorial Fund will be to provide support for a graduating senior from Lakeview Community Schools that has decided to continue with higher education by pursuing a degree at a community college, university or trade school.

Darwin & Ethelda Van Houten Scholarship Fund

The purpose of the Darwin & Ethelda Van Houten Scholarship Fund will be to provide financial assistance to a high school graduating senior from the Montabella Community School District who is pursuing any form of post-secondary education by attending a trade school, community college or university, with preference being given to those from Six Lakes and the surrounding area.

Deborah Ann Dobbrastine Weatherford Memorial Fund

The purpose of the Deborah Ann Dobbrastine Weatherford Memorial Fund is to provide financial support to a graduating senior(s) from Montabella Community Schools, located in Blanchard, Michigan, and from Lakeview Community Schools, located in Lakeview, Michigan, who is pursuing a degree in higher education at a Michigan nonprofit career/vocational/technical school, community college, or university after graduation.

Dick Goedge Memorial Scholarship Fund

The purpose of the Richard Goedge Memorial Scholarship Fund (the Fund) is to provide financial assistance to a graduating senior from the school district that serves the Lakeview area (currently Lakeview Community Schools) and who is planning to further their education by attending a two/four year accredited technical/vocational school or college/university in the fall following graduation. Mr. Goedge was a beloved and highly respected teacher in the Lakeview area.

Dr. John L. London MD Health Career Scholarship Fund

The purpose of the John L. London M.D. Health Career Scholarship Fund will be to provide financial assistance to a graduating senior from Lakeview Community Schools who is planning to further their education in a health-related field.

Earhart Family Memorial Scholarship Fund

The purpose of the Earhart Family Memorial Scholarship Fund will be to provide support for a graduating senior from the Lakeview area to further their education in the field of business, health or music, at a community college or college/university.

Ellafrits Family Community Fund

The purpose of the Ellafrits Family Community Fund is to provide funding for grants to qualifying charitable organizations in the Lakeview Area Community Fund’s service area.

Elmer & Mary Coon Performing Arts Scholarship Fund

This scholarship fund was established by the Friends of Elmer & Mary Coon out of deep respect and appreciation for Mr. Coon’s guidance as a teacher and producer of the first high school musicals in Lakeview. It’s purpose is to provide financial assistance to students interested in the performing arts and who will be attending a summer camp to study music (voice or instrument) or theatre and/or to a graduating college or university-bound youth interested in a major or minor in music (voice or instrument) or theatre.

Farnsworth Family Scholarship Fund

The purpose of the Farnsworth Family Scholarship Fund will be to provide financial support to a graduating senior from Lakeview High School who has plans to attend a community college, trade school, college or university for further education.

Gary Wakenhut Memorial Music Scholarship Fund

Guilfoyle Family Scholarship Fund

The Guilfoyle family established this endowed scholarship fund in honor of Wayne and Maxine Guilfoyle for the purpose of providing financial assistance to college-bound youth residing within the school district that serves the Lakeview area.
