Scholarships to women who are initiating or returning to an education
About this Fund

The Zonta EducateZ Scholarship is a unique fund that will provide financial support to an often ignored population. It will support women who are initiating or returning to complete an accredited education. This can include a GED, a two-year or four-year college or vocational school. It will be available to women who: demonstrate financial need through completion of FASFA application (assistance will be made available to candidates needing assistance in the application process); have a full- or part-time enrollment status in an accredited two-year or four-year college or vocational school; have full-time enrollment status in a recognized GED study program; and are recommended by Boulder Valley School, Boulder County Agency or some other letter or recommendation.

Zonta Foothills Club of Boulder County knows that the more education a woman receives the more the welfare of her family improves. Educate a woman and you help to insure economic stability, healthy lives and strong families. The Zonta EducateZ Scholarship will help more women realize their dream of a college degree or a special certification in nursing or catering or anything at all that seemed out of reach. It will fund women who want to go back to school.

Through the Zonta EducateZ project, we help at risk women and girls in Boulder County through education. From pre-school through college, we provide books, computers, one-on-one mentoring, and financial support to help them at each step in their educational journey. Your donation to the Zonta EducateZ Scholarship will make the financial burden of secondary education seem less daunting for a single mom or woman who left school to work and support her family.

Your donation will help to:

  • $25 – defray kitchen fees for a woman earning her catering certification

  • $50 – cover the fees of digital content for a mother studying accounting at the local community college

  • $100 – cover the fees for review and testing to earn a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential

  • $150 – purchase a refurbished computer complete with all needed software, an essential tool for any program

  • $300 – Cover the costs for total tuition for two credit hours at a local community college after a Colorado resident stipend is applied

  • $500 – Pay for a single semester's tuition and fees in a 3-credit course required for a community college Associate’s Degree

Zonta Foothills Club of Boulder County is a group of professionals who volunteer to advance women and girls locally and worldwide through education, health and wellness, economic stability, safety and legal equality.
