About this Fund

The Eldora Play Forever Fund was created to support our community in overcoming challenges and thriving for generations to come. This donor-advised fund (DAF), managed in partnership with Community Foundation Boulder County (CFBC), directs all donations to local non-profit organizations providing essential community assistance. The Play Forever Fund is dedicated to advancing three key pillars:

  • Supporting local relief efforts to help our community during challenging times.

  •  Increasing diversity and participation in winter sports, creating inclusive opportunities for all.

  • Partnering with organizations that take bold action to protect the environment and preserve it for future generations.

The Fund proudly supports our local organizations, including:

  • Indian Peaks Wilderness Alliance

  • Boulder Watershed Collective

  • Leave No Trace

  • Wild Bear Nature Center

  • Canyon Cares

  • TEENS, Inc.

  • Women’s Wilderness

  • BIPOC Mountain Collective

  • Out Boulder County

  • Native American Rights Fund

  • Nederland Food Pantry & Clothing Closet

As a vital part of the community where we love to live, work, and play, Eldora brings the Play Forever philosophy to life through opportunities to volunteer, donate, and contribute items to those in need. This community-focused program embodies our commitment to supporting mountain communities.

The Play Forever Fund was established through a generous gift from POWDR’s founder and chairman, John Cumming, his brother, David Cumming, and the Cumming Foundation, with ongoing support from the Eldora team and community members. Play Forever inspires us to work together for a brighter, more inclusive, and sustainable future – and we hope it inspires you too.
