APIC-YAKIMA FUND

Asian Pacific Islander Coalition of Yakima Valley brings together Asian and Asian Pacific Islanders (including immigrants, refugees, & citizens) to use our collective strength to empower & advance our community. We fully support coalition diversity building within our BIPOC Community to ensure equal representation and civic empowerment in issues that matter to our AAPI community. AAPI immigrant families should transition to calling Yakima Valley home through civic engagement, education, and access to transitional state and federal programs.

THE HARVEST HOPE FUND

Food insecurity is reaching crisis levels in our region. The recent government shutdown and suspension of SNAP benefits have created a perfect storm of need in Yakima and Kittitas Counties. 70% of these federal benefits support working families—people who labor in our fields and orchards, stock our stores, and care for our neighbors, yet still struggle to put food on their tables. Our agricultural region faces unique challenges that compound food insecurity. While we grow food for the nation, many of our farm workers and their families earn wages that don't stretch far enough, especially when paired with the geographic isolation of rural communities. When federal support disappears, our local food banks become the last line of defense against hunger. The Harvest Hope Fund will provide immediate, flexible resources to food banks serving our communities, helping ensure no family goes hungry while they weather this crisis. These are our neighbors—the families who make our agricultural economy possible. Philanthropic support allows us to respond with the speed and compassion this moment demands, filling the gap until federal assistance is restored while strengthening our community's resilience for the future. Every dollar donated directly supports emergency food assistance for families in Yakima and Kittitas Counties.
