YAKIMA VALLEY TROLLEY RESTORING SERVICE TO SELAH FUND
Purpose
Help keep a one-of-a-kind piece of American history on track. Yakima Valley Trolleys is home to the only surviving intact early 1900s interurban electric railway in the United States, a living piece of history that has connected our Valley for generations. As the City of Yakima plans for the reconstruction of 6th Avenue, the historic trolley tracks along the route face an uncertain future. Losing these tracks would mean losing the trolley’s connection toward Selah and permanently altering a historic railway system that exists nowhere else in the country. The Yakima Valley Trolley Restoring Service to Selah Fund was created to support efforts to preserve the historic trolley tracks, overhead lines, and crossing along 6th Avenue. More than a century of Yakima Valley history is still rolling. Your gift can help keep the Yakima Valley Trolley on track.
