JOHN AND WAUNA HARMAN APPRENTICESHIP FUND
Purpose
This Field of Interest Fund is open to accept donations from others who understand the importance of providing opportunities to individuals interested in achieving economic stability for them and their families. The John and Wauna Harman Apprenticeship Fund grants $100,000/year to the Yakama Power Apprenticeship program. The Apprenticeship Program provides training for tribal members to become certified linemen, electricians, and managers. This 3.5-year program includes a 10-day intensive, followed by 7,000+ hours of on-the-job training, offering a high-paying career path without the debt of a four-year degree. It specializes in building critical infrastructure maintenance skills.
