Island Community Needs Fund

Since its inception, the Island Community Needs fund has been providing grant dollars to better our island community in a variety of ways. Distributions are used to meet ongoing or unexpected needs on Mackinac Island and so uses vary over time. All undesignated gifts are added to this fund.

Island Essential Needs Fund

Provide funds to meet immediate and essential needs in and on Mackinac Island, Michigan. This fund was created by the MICF board and donors during the Covid-19 crisis.

Joe B. Sullivan Memorial Fund

This fund was created by Mary Sullivan and friends in memory of her late husband Joe and their many years spent together on Mackinac Island. Fund income is used to promote the general well being or Island residents and visitors.

Mackinac College Legacy Fund

A unrestricted fund established to share the blessings of the Mackinac College experience with future generations.

Mackinac Island Community Fund

This community fund was created by the Timmons family to benefit Mackinac Island.

The Robert and Jeannette Doud Fund was established by friends and family to honor the Douds' life and many contributions they made to the Island. This fund supports the general well-being of Mackinac Island residents by emphasizing programs that enrich community life.

Support Us Now Fund

SUN stands for "Support us now" and is intended to improve and enrich the quality of life for residents of Mackinac Island. The purpose is twofold—to fill an unexpected or emergency need that occurs between the Foundation’s regular grant cycles each year, and/or to consider requests totaling $1,000.00 or less, based on the availability of funds.

Ann and Clayton Timmons Fund

This fund was created by the Anne and Tim Timmons family to assist the Mackinac Island Community Foundation Board to provide directe pro-active grant making.

Father Jim Williams Fund For Mackinac Island

This fund supports the general well being of island residents and visitors by emphasizing programs that enrich community life in areas such as health, social services, arts and culture, education, and preservation of natural, historical, and cultural resources.

Youth Fund

This fund was established by a grant through the Michigan Community Foundation's Youth Project supported by a grant from the W.K. Kellogg Foundation, and is administered by the Youth Advisory Committee. This instills in our youth the concepts of philanthropy and service by allowing them to recommend grants that will benefit the youth of Mackinac Island.
