Friends of Grace

For more than a century, Grace Baptist Church—now Grace Hall Darien—has been part of Darien's story. Today, it has the opportunity to become an even greater part of McIntosh County's future. The restoration of this remarkable landmark is nearing completion, but saving the building is only the beginning. The greater opportunity is to transform Grace Hall into a much-needed regional gathering place for music, arts, weddings, lectures, meetings, community celebrations, and nonprofit events. With few venues like it in coastal Georgia, Grace Hall will become an important cultural and civic center for residents and visitors alike. Friends of Grace was established to help make this vision a reality. As a fund of the CCGF, this 501(c)(3) provides individuals, families, businesses, and foundations with the opportunity to make tax-deductible gifts that will transform Grace Hall and provide local nonprofits with an exceptional venue for meetings, fundraising events, and public programs. Your contribution will help restore the historic stained-glass windows and pews, install professional sound, lighting, and acoustic systems, equip a commercial kitchen, support ongoing community programs and maintain this piece of history. Grace Hall's future is built upon an extraordinary past. Since 1915, Grace Baptist Church has stood as a landmark in Darien's historic district and an important part of McIntosh County's Gullah Geechee heritage. After years of abandonment and devastating storm damage, the building stood on the brink of collapse. In 2024, the Georgia Trust for Historic Preservation named Grace Hall one of Georgia's Places in Peril. Thanks to dedicated supporters, its structural restoration is now nearing completion. By supporting Friends of Grace, you become part of Grace Hall's next chapter—preserving an irreplaceable landmark while creating a welcoming place where people gather to celebrate, learn, connect, and build lasting memories for generations to come.

William Bernard McCloud Community Impact Fund

Contributions to this fund go directly to CCGF’s annual competitive award cycle which offers funding for non-profit organizations serving Glynn, Camden, and McIntosh Counties. As a former CCGF board member and active Community Impact Committee (CIC) member, Bernard McCloud served his community with distinction and purpose. CCGF can think of no better tribute than to rename the Foundation’s annual competitive award in recognition of his dedication to and love for his coastal home. CCGF hopes this fund and the awards that come from it reflect the best aspects of the Foundation and the community that Bernard helped build and shape, ensuring that the work we do is For Good, Forever.
