WomenShelter of Long Beach Fund
Purpose
The mission of WomenShelter of Long Beach is to eliminate domestic violence through compassionate intervention, education, and personal empowerment. Since 1977, WSLB has helped thousands of families overcome the trauma caused by domestic abuse. WSLB assists survivors and their children by providing safe housing and supportive services including an emergency shelter, 24-hour crisis hotline, counseling, social services support, legal and health advocacy, and much more. Every day, survivors of domestic violence are forced to leave everything behind, including their homes, safety, and sense of self. It costs $142 a day to support one survivor in our emergency shelter—and $2,840 to carry them through their entire stay. Your support today can mean the difference between crisis and stability for someone escaping abuse.
