Friends of Public Health Designated Fund
Purpose
Friends of Public Health raises funds for the patient-focused care provided by employees of the Public Health Department of Jefferson County, Washington. This patient-focused care includes, but is not limited to, Jefferson County School-Based Health Clinics, Senior Foot Care Clinics, Sexual and Reproductive Health Clinics, Harm Reduction Support, and Teen Resilience Programs. Jefferson County Public Health addresses community needs, and the professional staff provides education, access to health care, vaccines, disease investigation, and much more in our effort to support the population health of Jefferson County. Jefferson County Public Health also builds foundations in youth for involvement in their own personal health journey across the lifespan. We are in unprecedented times when it comes to state and federal funding for healthcare, and we, the Friends of Public Health believe that all persons deserve affordable access to quality healthcare. When we saw the budget cuts coming, we decided to see if we could the lessen the predictable harm these cuts will do to the most vulnerable in the community.
