Pottstown Play Streets

Pottstown Play Streets is a seasonal, award-winning program that transforms neighborhood streets into vibrant community hubs. The program temporarily closes local blocks to traffic and activates them with free play equipment, hands-on activities, and partner-led outreach. 18 of these events have been held since Summer 2022 serving a total audience of 1,567. There are five Play Streets events scheduled for Summer 2025. By bringing recreation and resources directly into neighborhoods, the program creates safe, engaging spaces for kids to play and families to connect, right outside their doors. Pottstown Play Streets is led by the Borough of Pottstown Parks and Recreation Department. They are part of an annual Pottstown Play Streets Coalition convened by the Pottstown Area Health & Wellness Foundation. The coalition works together to provide this program to Pottstown residents. Your donation helps keep Play Streets free and accessible to all. With your support, we can continue turning ordinary streets into extraordinary spaces for movement, joy, and community-building across Pottstown. Community Collaboratives

Community Collaboratives bring together local organizations, leaders, and residents to address shared challenges and create opportunities for positive change. By pooling resources and expertise, these partnerships strengthen our region’s capacity to improve youth outcomes, expand access to health services, and advance economic opportunity. Your donation helps sustain these efforts by providing flexible funding that allows collaboratives to respond to emerging needs, build stronger networks, and ensure solutions are rooted in community voices. Together, we can make a greater difference than any one group could achieve alone. Donations made in September will be collected and distributed on behalf of the following event: Broadway Concert, Saturday, September 20 at 7:30 PM, Bethel Community Church of Pottstown, 575 N. Keim St., Pottstown. All contributions will be split evenly among three local food pantries at the Pottstown Cluster, Salvation Army, and Bethel Community Church. Guests are invited to join this evening of Broadway music, where a free-will donation will benefit these organizations while providing an exciting night of entertainment.
