Greater Williamsburg Transportation Assistance Fund

Established by an Anonymous donor, the fund provides grants to the Williamsburg Area Transit Authority (WATA) to improve bus stop amenities as identified by WATA staff. It may also provide grants to other nonprofit or governmental organizations for the purchase of bus passes by to provide to their low-income clients.

Housing & Economic Mobility Fund

Established by the Board of Trustees, the fund supports grants to nonprofit organizations that work in the area of economic mobility and housing for low- to moderate-income residents. (ALICE population)

Mary Turnbull Bike & Walk Fund

Established by Allen Turnbull in memory of his wife who was an avid cyclist, the fund supports programs that promote the use biking and other forms of active transportation in greater Williamsburg. Those programs should aim to increase the percentage of trips taken by bicycle or other modes of active transportation as opposed to cars.
